Welcome to my place

via

Notice anything a little different?? of course you do…Welcome to my lovely new abode…

I’m actually feeling really nervous, but I’m also mentally doing the running man!! thats pretty crazy right?

Its been the in the planning for months, and now its finally here, im amazed at how much the blog has grown over the last year, especially considering I started this just for kicks, who knew I would love blogging so much I might {shock horror} take it seriously, but I’m glad i did, but taking the blog to a diffrent level is still a leap of faith, i mean i may just crumble under the pressure that is working for yourself. eek! But for now i cant really see past my shiney new blog.

So grab yourself a cuppa while I take you through some of the new features.

First up, by far the biggest change is that I will now be taking on sponsors, which basically means on the right hand side of the blog I will have advertiser, and thus from now the blog will be supported by an ad based revenue. Now any of you regular readers will know I said that last year too, ah well its turns out everything has a time, and mine is now, there was no way i was ready to take on ads last year, and neither was the blog. But… and this is a big BUT, i have to say I’m still only doing this because i love it! why else right?

 What else is new?

The Shop – This little pop up shop, will be filled with the likes of party wear, jewellery & fab stationery all from independent designers. Turns out I’m really fussy so I’m still working on getting item that you will really love  in there so stay with me on that.

Resell – This feature is within the shop and its really for you, if you have a preloved wedding item you can sell it, right here for free, just get in touch.

The Directory – {again stay with me} will take shape as vendors are filled… I did um and ah about having a directory, but for now I decided to have one and plan to fill it with suppliers I think fit the blogs ethos.

New Platform – I moved from blogger {sob} to word press; i know blogger gets alot of stick, but i loved it, the move was  inevitable though as i wanted more feature in my blog. I’m now a total WP convert, you can do so much more, moving around and searching is better with categories and tags plus its so pretty to look at.

Now for the two very talented ladies that that made it all happen.

The blog everything basically design & technical workings were done by Kim Lawler – She is all kinds of awesome, seriously best website designer ever!! if there is ever a tech problem who you gonna call?? well kim of course..Thank you for putting up with all them emails!! catch her here  finest imaginary + hiphop side project - seems there is nothing she can’t do, she even makes the most rad/cute jewellery.

The logo for the blog was made by Leah Spicer  -  The logo guru, thank you so much for coming up with my pretty design, which i cant wait to plaster all over the place..find her here GOLDEN APPLE DESIGNS were she makes thee cutest wedding stationery and here LEAH SPICER CREATIVE

Plus a big thanks to hubs, for actually sticking round while I was acting like a crazy person & my girls – I promise I will now take you to the park.

That’s all for now, I’m excited for you to join me on the next stage of this crazy ride that is blogging and  will share my new schedule with you soon. Have  fun looking around my new home, and do tell me what you think?

xx
